Intensive Career Development for Military Spouses

Amplify is a free two-day career development program that empowers military spouses and equips them with essential skills and resources for professional growth.

What to Expect

Amplify attendees are given tools, resources, and an expanded network to support their career growth. Following 1.5 days of professional development, Amplify participants will apply their new career tools during a hiring event with Hiring Our Heroes and dozens of local and national employers.

All military spouse are eligible to attend; registration and confirmation are required. Early registration is recommended for both in-person and virtual Amplify events as space is limited. After registering, attendees will receive program instructions via email.

Program Details
Attendees spend two days in career development workshops and interactive sessions. Event content includes resume building, interviewing skills, LinkedIn, compensation negotiation, and strategic networking. Amplify is offered in-person and virtually.
  • At In-Person Amplify events you will:
    Participate in career development workshops and interactive sessions, receive a complimentary professional headshot, engage with local military organizations and area employers, gain access to local resources, volunteer opportunities, and upcoming events, network with fellow military spouses, attend a Hiring Our Heroes’ hiring event immediately following Amplify.
  • At Virtual Amplify events you will:
    Engage with employers and military organizations, gain access to nationwide resources, volunteer and employment opportunities, and information regarding upcoming events, network with fellow military spouses.

Attending an In-person Amplify
The Amplify content is the same for virtual and in-person events. However, there are several additional experiences for attendees at in-person sessions: 
  • Receive a complimentary professional headshot.
  • Hear from local military organizations and area employers.
  • Network with the community for specific resources, volunteer opportunities, and employment as well as upcoming events.
  • Foster relationships with other military spouses in the area.

Amplify events are intended for military spouses. Hiring Our Heroes defines a military spouse as any person whose career has been impacted by military service. This term includes veteran spouses, Gold Star spouses, active-duty spouses, Reserve spouses, National Guard spouses, domestic partners, and caregivers.
