Veterans, Military Spouses Get Help Finding Jobs Through U.S. Chamber Foundation and Allstate Partnership
WASHINGTON, D.C.— The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Hiring Our Heroes initiative today announced it will team up with Allstate Insurance Company to offer a series of veteran hiring expos at professional sports venues around the country, beginning with an event hosted at the home of the Chicago Bulls.
“Allstate is helping to bring real economic opportunities to our veterans and military spouses as they seek meaningful employment,” said Eric Eversole, vice president at the U.S. Chamber and president of Hiring Our Heroes. “We look forward to working together to get these talented men and women hired.”
The combined effort deepens the already-strong working relationship between the Chamber and Allstate; Allstate Chairman and CEO Tom Wilson is currently the vice chairman of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
Supporting the military and veterans countrywide is part of Allstate’s commitment to improving local communities.
“This gives us an opportunity to serve the men and women who have served our country,” said Allstate’s Senior Vice President of Agency Operations John O’Donnell. “As a veteran, I know firsthand the leadership, adaptability, and sense of teamwork learned in the military provide a strong foundation for a successful career. We’re proud to help bring together businesses and communities to support veterans.”
Veterans and transitioning service members can register for these hiring expos as well as other Hiring Our Heroes events at HiringOurHeroes.org/events.
